I purchased this item months ago. The only complaint I have is the wondeful fragrance dosen’t last very long.
Love the scent! Originally I purchased this for my daugther but ended up keeping it for myself….I’m happy I did! I love this fragrance….and so does my daughter (she uses mine). Guess I have to get her, her own bottle! Nice fruity, floral fragrance that last all day.
I love it love it love it, best perfume ever. Very Fruity and a little floral, soft but yet strong enough to use at evening
I had only smelled this perfume in magazine samples, but loved it then. So I decided to order it. It was so worth it. It is one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled. Very fruity and everyone compliments me on how I smell. If you like fruity/floral, this is perfect for you.
I knew that I liked Be Delicious, the other perfume from Donna Karan and asked my sister to give it to me for Christmas. She insisted that I should try Red Delicious and she bought me a gift set with both perfumes. I tried the Red Delicious, afraid that I wouldn’t like it. I was pleasantly surprised. I am very picky about perfumes and I can’t stand musky or powdery-smelling perfumes. This perfume, when I wear it, doesn’t really smell fruity to me. It does smell a little bit like apple when you first spray it, but then the smell immediately gets more complex. It’s an unusual smell with a little bit of spice and a little bit of a soapy, clean smell. This perfume lasts several hours on my skin, but the results will very depending on each individual’s body chemistry. This scent is definitely more seductive and alluring than Be Delicious, which is more of a light, fun scent. My husband even likes this perfume, which is a miracle in itself. He is even more picky than I am about scents. Anyway, this perfume is worth a try, but I would strongly recommend people to try a sample at a department store first and see how the scent changes on them and how long it lasts before ordering it online.
Personally, I am not a perfume person. There are few fragrances I like, let alone would actually spend $50.00+ on a bottle for; Red Delicious by Donna Karan is one of the few that I would hand over the cash for. It has wonderful fruity notes without being over powering. If you are partial to fruity perfumes or like a light perfume, you will enjoy this very much.
On first try I felt it smelled a bit acidic, but after about 2 or 3 wears, it seemed less acidic and more fruitish. So, if at first it puts you off, try it a few more times. Pick up a sample from your department store and try it at least 3 times. If after that you hate it, then at least you didn’t waste the cash.
The only complaint I have on this perfume is that because it is such a light perfume, it fades within 3-4hrs. I would say I enjoy the first notes best, but the lighter second and third notes are wonderful too,. they are just very faint. Other than that it is definitely worth the money, and is one of the few perfumes I would reccomend.
