These athletic flats are stylish and comfortable. They feature a non-skid, athletic sole, but are styled like a ballet flat. The upper is made of metallic fabric with a contrasting swatch of jersey wrapped across the upper. With some of the colors, the fabric has a snake-skin print — the gold and anthracite are solid.

They are remarkably pretty and have a retro look to them (they are reminiscent of the metallic harem slippers my mother used to wear in the late 1960s). I have received a number of compliments from my coworkers on these shoes. These flats look as good with professional office dresses as they do with jeans, making them the most versatile athletic shoes I’ve owned. I was so pleased with my first pair that I have since purchased two more pairs.

The shoes are also very comfortable. As the other reviewer mentioned, they do run wider than the average ballet flat or skimmer. They fit like an athletic shoe. Given the chance, I’d wear athletic shoes everywhere — so fit of the shoe suits me fine.

My only complaint about this shoe is that the metallic sheen wore off my gold pair after four months use (my anthracite pair looks as good as new).
